Cornerstone BioPharma’s management team has extensive experience in
the pharmaceutical industry and more specifically in the respiratory
arena. The management team has decades of experience in regulatory,
product development, commercialization, business and financial management. The
Executive Management Team is complimented with a Field Management
Team who has vast experience in pharmaceuticals, with respiratory medicine
a key focus. The Field Management Team also has strong relationships with
Key Opinion Leaders in the respiratory arena throughout the United
States. The Field Management Team has built a team of successful
professionals who Healthcare Providers surveyed said were among the
best in the industry.
Craig Collard, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Collard founded Cornerstone in March of 2004, and has since served as its President, Chief Executive Officer and a
director. Prior to Cornerstone, Mr. Collard served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Carolina Pharmaceuticals, a company
he founded in May of 2003. Prior to founding Carolina Pharmaceuticals Inc., Mr. Collard served as Vice President of Sales for Verum
Pharmaceuticals Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina from August 2002 to February 2003.
Mr. Collard was responsible for the strategic and tactical direction for all marketing, sales, trade, managed care, and business
development projects that impacted the organization. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Collard worked as Director of National Accounts at DJ Pharma Inc.,
a company which was eventually purchased by Biovail Pharmaceuticals, Inc. His pharmaceutical career began in 1992 as a field sales
representative at Dura Pharmaceuticals Inc. He was later promoted to several other sales and marketing positions within Dura. Mr. Collard
sits on the board of Hilltop Home Inc., in addition to the board of Cornerstone. Mr. Collard received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
from the Southern College of Technology.
Chenyqua Baldwin, CPA, Vice President Finance
Ms. Baldwin, a founding member of Cornerstone, has served as the Vice President of Finance since August 2004. Ms. Baldwin’s responsibilities
at Cornerstone include financial policies, reporting and analysis, treasury and cash management, credit and collections, insurance, tax,
human resources, and information technology. Prior to Cornerstone, Ms. Baldwin served as Vice President of Finance for Carolina Pharmaceuticals
from January 2004 to August 2004. Ms. Baldwin also held the positions of Director of Finance and Director of Accounting with Biovail
Pharmaceuticals Inc., the domestic sales and marketing division of Biovail Corporation, from February 2001 to January 2004. Ms. Baldwin has
more than 18 years of experience in finance, accounting and administration within the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, real estate,
construction, retail, manufacturing, and public accounting industries. Ms. Baldwin holds a Masters of Accounting and BS in Business
Administration from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Dr. Brian Dickson, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Dickson has served as the Chief Medical Officer of Cornerstone since May 2005. Prior to Cornerstone, Dr. Dickson worked in senior
management with Smith, Kline & French Laboratories Ltd. from 1978 to 1987, Searle from 1988 to 1991, and Warner Lambert / Parke Davis
from 1991 to 1994. Further, he was the Chief Medical Officer at the contract research organizations Covalent Group Inc (now Encorium)
from 2001 to 2003 and Inveresk Research Group Inc during 2004 until their purchase by Charles River Laboratories Inc. In addition to
Dr. Dickson's industry experience, he is a past Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Medicine and is a member of the Faculty
of Pharmaceutical Medicine. Dr. Dickson also served as a subcommittee member for nutrition and anemia at the World Health Organization.
Dr. Dickson received his Doctor of Medicine from Adelaide University in Australia.
George Esgro, Vice President Sales and Marketing
Mr. Esgro has served as Cornerstone’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing since March 2008. Prior to Cornerstone, Mr. Esgro served as
Regional Sales Director at Roche Labs from June 2006 to January 2008. In previous positions, Mr. Esgro served as Vice President of Sales
and Training for Millennium Pharmaceuticals from August 2005 through April 2006. He also served in various positions at Amgen including
Senior National Sales Director, Nephrology business unit, and Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, Corporate Contracts, and the Oncology
business unit from December 2001 to August 2005. Mr. Esgro began his career at GlaxoSmithKline and served in a number of sales, strategy and
marketing positions from April 1988 through December of 2001. Mr. Esgro received his Bachelor of Administration in Business from James Madison
University.
Steve Lutz, Executive Vice President Manufacturing and Trade
Mr. Lutz is a founding member of Cornerstone and has served as Executive Vice President of Manufacturing and Trade since March 2004. Mr. Lutz
is responsible for brand and generics manufacturing and trade accounts, corporate accounts and managed care. He has also served as the
Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations while at Cornerstone, overseeing Sales, Sales Operations and Marketing. Prior to Cornerstone,
Mr. Lutz was the Vice President of Corporate Accounts for Carolina Pharmaceuticals from July 2003 to August 2004. In previous positions, Mr.
Lutz was responsible for Trade Sales for Verum Pharmaceuticals Inc. from September 2002 to February 2003, where he directed sales to all
national accounts including, food, drug, mass merchandisers, and wholesalers. In addition, Mr. Lutz served as National Account Manager for
Biovail Pharmaceuticals Inc. from February 2001 to September 2002 and Roberts Pharmaceuticals Inc. (acquired by Shire U.S.) from January 1993
to February 2001. Mr. Lutz earned his BA in Political Science and Sociology from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
